Detroit casino
developer Don Barden was awarded a license to build a $450 million
casino in Pittsburgh’s North Shore. Barden’s PITG Gaming LLC
(PITG) license was one of five slots licenses given to standalone
parlors, while the remaining six licenses are earmarked for
Pennsylvania’s horse-racing tracks. The PITG license allows up to
5,000 slot machines, making it one of the three largest operators in
Pennsylvania.

Control Board released November 2006 Total Adjusted Revenue for the
three Detroit casinos.
MGM Grand
Detroit,
MotorCity Casino and
Greektown Casinos reported total adjusted revenues of
$40,747,283.03, $39,775,896.44 and $27,759,222.50 respectively. The
three Detroit casinos' Total Adjusted Gross Receipts for November
2006 were $108,282,401.97.

The
Michigan Gaming
Control Board (“Board”) held a special meeting and voted 3-0 to
adopt Board Resolution 2006-03. The Resolution delegates certain
responsibilities of the executive director to Mr. Thomas A. Barker.
Barker is the current deputy director of administration for the
Board and will continue to serve in this capacity. The Board adopted
the Resolution following the resignation of Executive Director
Daniel Gustafson in November 2006.

Control Board released October 2006 Total Adjusted Revenue for the
three Detroit casinos.
MGM Grand
Detroit,
MotorCity Casino and
Greektown Casinos reported total adjusted revenues of
$39,650,357.26, $37,334,441.41 and $25,895,109.77 respectively. The
three Detroit casinos' Total Adjusted Gross Receipts for October
2006 were $102,879,908.44.

Control Board released September 2006 Total Adjusted Revenue for the
three Detroit casinos.
MGM Grand
Detroit,
MotorCity Casino and
Greektown Casinos reported total adjusted revenues of
$41,646,712.95, $38,893,739.65 and $29,297,276.67 respectively. The
three Detroit casinos' Total Adjusted Gross Receipts for September
2006 were $109,837,729.27.
September 29, 2006
MotorCity Casino announced that in
October it will begin converting all of its slot machines to
ticket-in, ticket-out technology. Thus, the casino expects to lay
off about 130 workers. The layoffs represent less than five percent
of the casino’s 2,000 employees. According to a press release by
MotorCity, “under the terms of the current collective bargaining
agreement with the Detroit Casino Council, affected associates have
first opportunity to return (recall rights) should positions become
available.”

Control Board Executive Director Dan Gustafson will
succeed Reginald Carter as President and CEO of the
Health Care Association of Michigan.
Gustafson will begin serving as president and CEO on Nov. 27, 2006.
Gustafson’s appointment as executive director of the
Michigan Gaming
Control Board was slated to run until November 2008.

$41,516,202.18, $38,906,972.15 and $28,247,544.08 respectively. The
three Detroit casinos' Total Adjusted Gross Receipts for August 2006
were $108,670,718.41.

The
Michigan Gaming
Control Board granted approval to
Greektown Casino for their $200
million permanent casino project. Greektown stated that its
3,000-space parking structure will open in mid-2007, while officials
anticipate a September 2008 opening of the casino complex.

revenue for
MGM Grand
Detroit and
Greektown Casino was down by 0.62%
and 1.27% respectively compared to the same month last year.

leaders and
Greektown Casino owners and managers gathered for the
“Building Bashing” ceremony that marked the beginning of
construction on the permanent
Greektown Casino resort. The project’s
total budget is $475 million, including $275 million already
invested in the current
Greektown Casino and $200 million for the
new permanent project.

year.

the three Detroit casinos.

Detroit Casino's December 2005
total adjusted revenue was $39,877,047.85 compared to $38,258,019.27
in November 2005;
MotorCity Casino's December 2005 total adjusted
revenue was $35,403,665.04 compared to $33,627,466.92 in November
2005; and
Greektown Casino's December 2005 total adjusted revenue
was $29,347,001.05 compared to $28,314,520.86 in November 2005.
Total 2005 revenue for each of the three Detroit casinos was:
MGM Grand
Detroit: $460,697,859.89;
MotorCity Casino: $432,212,661.34;
and
Greektown Casino: $335,633,365.40. The three Detroit casinos'
2005 Total Adjusted Gross Receipts totaled $1,228,543,886.63 and the
Total State Wagering Tax was $148,653,810.27.
