On Wednesday May 18, 2016, The American Gaming Association (“AGA”) announced the addition of eight new members, three of whom are new board members. Specifically, the new members are AGS, Cherokee Nation Entertainment and Delaware North while the five additions to general membership include Acres 4.0, American Casino & Entertainment Properties, FireKeepers Casino, NYX Gaming and Genius Sports.  Of the AGA’s 75 members, FireKeepers Casino joins other Michigan-based members including: MGM Resorts International, MotorCity Casino Hotel, and Regulatory Management Counselors, P.C.

Since January 2015, AGA’s membership has increased by more than 50 percent. This growth is largely the result of a significant shift in the organization’s membership and governance structure wherein tribal gaming operators were invited to join commercial operators, casino suppliers and allied members. This change took effect in late 2014.

“AGA’s growing membership across every sector of the gaming industry positions us to effectively advocate for the most pressing issues we face,” said Geoff Freeman, AGA president and CEO. “Gaming’s big table – made up of Tribal and commercial operators, casino suppliers, allied members – is uniting the industry and driving consensus on the most important industry issues.”

The American Gaming Association is the premier national trade group representing the $240 billion U.S. casino industry, which supports 1.7 million jobs in 40 states. AGA membership extends to commercial and tribal casino operators , suppliers and numerous other entities affiliated with the gaming industry.
