The Michigan Gaming Control Board (“MGCB”) recently announced that on August 24, Pure Michigan Business Connect will partner with Greektown Casino-Hotel, MGM Grand Detroit, Motor City Casino and Hotel, and the MGCB for an informational webinar on how to do business in the Detroit gaming industry.

The Detroit casinos and MGCB will give preliminary information to companies interested in doing business with the casinos and answer general questions. Additionally, they will provide information on requirements for potential meetings with them at the 2016 Flint Matchmaking Summit to be held on Sept. 22 (see additional information below).

Some examples of business opportunities include: event planning services, food service vendors/distributors, HVAC replacement, landscaping services, and plumbing services. If you are interested in obtaining a private meeting with one of the Detroit casinos, please complete the application below.

Two presentations on how to do business with Detroit’s gaming industry are available at the link below (select the down arrow and view detailsunder informational presentations). The presentations highlight general procurement strategies, some common procurement needs, and regulatory requirements. Pure Michigan Business Connect, in partnership with the Flint and Genesee Chamber of Commerce and the Small Business Association of Michigan, will host the 2016 Flint Matchmaking Summit on September 22 at the Riverfront Banquet Center, Flint. The invitation only initiative will match qualified Michigan suppliers to buyers from a variety of industries, including casino gaming, to attempt to fill procurement gaps. 

MGCB representatives will be onsite to answer attendees’ questions on regulatory requirements.
