In the December 2013 issue of Global Gaming Business, American Gaming Association (“AGA”) President and CEO Geoff Freeman announced that the AGA has developed a case study video showcasing the positive effects that gaming establishments have had in the Kansas City market.

“The video tells the story of how the industry has added tourism, created jobs for a diverse workforce, helped revitalize the community and partnered with local charitable organizations. We know that in gaming communities, our industry has (rightly) earned the reputation as a valuable community partner, and this video shows casino companies contributing in ways that improve the lives of citizens throughout the region,” states Mr. Freeman in a Global Gaming Businesscolumn.

In a press release, the AGA notes that it will be focusing on promoting the positive impacts that the industry has on local communities. These impacts include the creation of new jobs, contracting opportunities for local small businesses, increases in tourism and entertainment outlets, as well as the significant charitable work conducted by gaming companies in the communities in which they operate.
